The Israeli army opened fire on a car driver, allegedly trying to run over soldiers near a settlement in the northern occupied West Bank.
Israeli media said two Israeli soldiers were slightly injured in a run-off operation in the vicinity of the “Bakawut” settlement in the Aghwar area in the northern West Bank.
The driver of the car was shot by the Israeli army.
Palestinian local sources said that Israeli forces had closed the area and the nearby barriers in the Aghwar area.
Palestinian ambulances were also denied access to the injured young man.

“The efforts to extend the truce in Gaza continued over yesterday and throughout the night,” Hamas leader Osama Hamdan said.
He explained that « dialogue and indirect negotiation led to the extension of the truce in accordance with the same criteria and previous clauses ».
And complete: “Let us observe what is going on today, may at its end carry news for the benefit of the Palestinian people that includes the cessation of aggression and the crime of extermination committed 50 days ago.”
Hamas said this morning that the occupation refused to receive seven women and children detained today.
Three of the same categories of detainees were killed by Israeli shelling in Gaza.
